Time for the Young’ens to shine

Next week sees Kenya hosting the Africa Cricket Association under 15’s cricket championships with teams from Uganda, Tanzania and fro the first time Rwanda (though they will only be sending a boys team) participating

According to this report from the Daily Nation, the defending champions, Kenya’s, squad of 18 players including two from Rift valley has been training at the Sir Ali Muslim ground in preparation for the tournament and while they are confident of success the women’s team will be wary of Tanzania comprising of players who play in the boys leagues.

All in all it will be a positive reflection on Kenya’s youth system if the boy’s team successfully defend their title and equally so if the girls put on a good showing at the tournament.
